For most of Agrace’s patients, Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance cover the cost of hospice and palliative care services. But Agrace also serves people who do not have coverage from these sources and need financial assistance.
Care for All, Agrace’s charitable care program, provides free or discounted services for patients who lack other coverage for these services and demonstrate financial need. Care for All covers the full range of Agrace’s services:
– routine home hospice care
– inpatient hospice care for short-term, acute symptom management
– residential hospice care (hospice services plus room and board at the
Ellen & Peter Johnson HospiceCare Residence)*
– palliative care consultations
– Care Navigation service
Thanks to generous community donations, Care for All is able to help patients get the compassionate care and support they need as they cope with the challenges of a serious, chronic or life-limiting illness. In our 35+ years, Agrace has never turned away a patient who was appropriate for hospice care, but lacked coverage and could not afford the care they needed.
To find out whether a person who needs Agrace’s care could receive financial assistance, please contact our Admissions Team at (800) 930-2770. Patients who are already enrolled in hospice care with Agrace should talk with their Agrace social worker for more information. Each case is evaluated individually, and all applicants will be asked to provide evidence of financial need.
